As we sat down at the fly tying bench for this month, June. Summer’s here and we’re working mangrove shorelines for redfish and snook and open water adjacent to the beaches for tarpon. As a result, we’re throwing baitfish flies to imitate the scaled sardines and threadfin herring that are most prevalent now. Depending on just how far we’re working up into brackish water will determine fly color.
